Planting
Plan
|
I draw the Planting Plan up based on what we have talked about during the Initial Design Consultation in terms of style, plants and colours. It is drawn to scale based on the measurements found during the measuring up time, and also takes into account the areas of sun or shade in the garden, as well as the soil type.
The plants in the Planting Plan are drawn as a more mature size. This means that when planted, there will often be spaces between the plants allowing for growth.
The Planting Plan is similar to a map in that it shows the position of each plant in the planting area. It can then be followed to set out the plants before planting as in the pictures on the right.
Therefore, I choose plants that are going to be best suited to the planting area while taking into account the types and colours of plants discussed. |

These give an impression of how the planting will look and give an additional insight into the design rather than just relying on the Planting Plan |

Follow up
|
This happens some time after the
planting has taken place. It is an opportunity to discuss the work carried out earlier and may lead to further suggestions as required |
