Seasonal help with maintaining the planting

Planting up of containers, hanging baskets and window boxes for the summer and other times of the year.

This is mainly if you live further away but would like me to draw a Planting Plan for borders in your garden.  I will send you a Planting Questionnaire which will format the basis of the design together with the details of the planting area which I will need you to send to me together with a photo of the area if possible.

For this I will need:

• A sketch showing the measurements and shape of the border;

• The aspect, is it in a sunny or shady position, when does the sun shine on that area, is the shade under a tree and dappled?

• The soil type, is it clay, sandy or loam.  Is the soil very dry or wet?

• PH of the soil which can be carried out with a pH soil tester kit;

• The location of any drains or tree roots in the border, if there are any;

• Fence height and type that the border backs onto;

• The names of any trees and plants that are going to be staying with their location in the border and height and spread measurements.
